Bella’s Ranger Dream

“I’d love to work as a Ranger!” says Tiwi College student Jessabriella (Bella) Brown — and the Rangers agree she’d be a great addition to the team!

Bella recently took part in Junior Ranger biodiversity training with NT’s Flora and Fauna Division and Tiwi Rangers, learning about local wildlife and ecosystems. She loved discovering skinks and legless lizards and even conquered her fear of spiders by holding a big Huntsman for the first time!

“It’s important for young Tiwi people to learn about wildlife,” Bella said. “If we don’t look after our country, it will fade away. We need to learn while we’re young and pass that knowledge on to the next generation.”
