To wrap up Term 3, students spent a wonderful day out at Tumarripi - a refreshing and relaxing time on Country to unwind, connect, and celebrate the end of a big term of learning.

Students completed environmental sketches, connecting their weekly classroom learning to Country by observing and drawing the land, sea, and sky around them.

What a fantastic time the primary and preschool kids had while cooking! We are extremely grateful to all the wonderful parents who assisted in making it happen!

In cooking class, our JYW prepared both sweet and savory muffins.

We kicked off our first Academy session for the term - and what a great start it was!

Our senior young men have set up a camera trap down at the creek today, hoping to capture footage of our resident yirrikapayi who was spotted a few nights ago!

Students had a blast exploring a new 3D fire simulation game, developed by CDU’s Northern Institute for the Tiwi Junior Ranger Program.

“I’d love to work as a Ranger!” says Tiwi College student Jessabriella (Bella) Brown — and the Rangers agree she’d be a great addition to the team!

The partnership between Tiwi College and Scotch College continues to grow stronger, and we deeply appreciate all that Scotch does to support and enrich this connection.

Our Junior Young Men's class have been hard at work during a creative writing activity all about animals!

Earlier this term, the Senior Young Men’s class visited the Yapilika tree plantation and the site for the next stage of forestry development on Melville Island.

Students explored the world of comics, creating unique superhero characters that reflected their personal ideas of heroism - bravery, kindness, and more.

Tiwi College is pleased to welcome Daniella de Koster-Hill to the team as our new Curriculum Consultant.

These experiences are more than just fun - they strengthen our connection to Tiwi culture, country, and knowledge passed down through generations.

With brushes in hand and stories in their hearts, these talented young women have been painting footy boots for the North Melbourne Women’s Team, each design sharing a piece of Tiwi.

Our Expo was a fantastic success, with many local organisations attending and sharing valuable opportunities with our students as they look ahead to life beyond school.
