MCG
Students toured the MCG, walked through the long room, past the blazer wall, and even went down to the pitch. They learnt about the longest hit ever recorded which is memorialised by a red chair in the stand and saw how high the gold medal high jumpers jumped at the Commonwealth Games.
After our tour they went down to the Australian Sports museum where they learnt about the Olympics and the various sports played at competitive levels in Australia. The highlight of the day was hands down the ‘Game on’ section of the museum, which was a series of interactive game play instalments, students tested their agility on the rock climbing wall, reflexes on rebound wall and so many more activities.
