Big thanks to Michelle Woody for all the information and stories about the artworks and museum, Hannah & Will for always being open to have school groups and all the artists/staff that spent time talking with the students.

Congratulations to Matthew Nudjulu who, having completed year 12 studies just last year has been employed by Tiwi College as an apprentice mechanic.

Tiwi College has been registered with Happy Boxes Project whose aim is to empower women in Australia’s most remote communities, promote self-care and support women in community by providing hygiene and health products.

We would like to thank Sharon from Red Dust for visiting to run the ‘Strong Women’s Program’.

The young women enjoyed each session of life skills pamper, self-care and cyber safety.

The JYW attended The Future Nextgen event with Inspired NT & Engineers Australia at the Darwin Solar Car Workshop at Hidden Valley Motor Sports Complex.

The Outreach Team stayed for an overnight visit and was lucky to join our life skills/academy afterschool programs and community dinner!

We celebrated the unique learning environment Tiwi College provides where students have the opportunity to learn from staff from all areas.

Students attended the Basketball NT 'Bringing BOUNCE back to the Islands' with Xavier College.

The junior and senior young women attended the women’s coaching course at TITEB Wurrumiyanga.

In term 4, a group of Senior Young Women travelled to Sydney as part of the Create Initiative funded by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.

SYM have been undertaking forklift training.

TC staff and students enjoyed an afternoon of colour and fitness!

Tarntipi Bush Camp was an awesome experience for everyone, and we are so impressed with the respect shown by the young men on this Learning on Country opportunity.

On Thursday the 17th of August, the Tiwi College community and friends enjoyed the 2023 Family Group Homes initiative Fete Day.

FGH4 ran the second-hand stall.

The FGH1 boys decided to donate to Purple House as some of their families have been on Dialysis and this organisation means a lot to them.

FGH8 had a delicious yinkiti (food) stall selling beef curry and chicken vermicelli.

The FGH2 boys chose to donate a portion of their proceeds to the Aged Care Facility in Wurrumiyanga.

FGH7 Sweet & Sour Stall sold Lolly Strap Sticks, Lolly Bags and Dessert boxes which included an assortment of brownies, cookies and cupcakes.

The SYM have been working towards their Sport & Rec Community Services.
