Protecting Our Kids, Strengthening Our Culture
Tiwi College – Leading the Way
Tiwi College has been invited to help lead a new project to keep our children safe online and stop online child exploitation (OCSE) in remote NT communities.
The NS NT Project is run by the Australian Federal Police (AFP) with support from education and community leaders. It will create resources that reflect Tiwi language, stories, and culture — made by Tiwi people, for Tiwi people.
What’s It About?
Teaching young people and families how to stay safe online
Creating resources in Tiwi language, with Tiwi artists and voices
Sharing knowledge in ways that suit our culture
Making our kids feel proud, strong, and safe
Tiwi College’s Role
Tiwi College is a key partner in the project. Staff, Elders, and community members will work together with:
